Our new Joomla reference
Swingolf Hamburg

Swingolf Hamburg is a family business for sport, fun and relaxation. Swingolf is a simplified form of golf: one club with three faces, a soft ball, fairways from 65 to 300 metres. Footgolf and a restaurant complete the offer – for a day with family, friends, colleagues or a club.
In 2016 we built the website with Joomla: set-up, template adjustments, a form for vouchers and inquiries and the concept of the individual pages. We have looked after it ever since – for ten years now.

The most important tool on the website is the booking request: guests choose swingolf or footgolf, an occasion such as a children’s birthday or a company party, extras such as breakfast or a handcart, date and time and the number of adults and children. The form runs on RSForm Pro; we adapt the calendar to the season, for example which days can be booked.

Event, occasion, extras, date and group size in one form.
A form for vouchers and inquiries since 2016.
Rebuilt on YOOtheme Pro in 2019, optimised for phones.
Answers for guests on a page of their own.
In 2019 we rebuilt the website on YOOtheme Pro with UIkit 3: a better display on phones and faster delivery. In 2025 a page with frequently asked questions was added, together with training in YOOtheme Pro – so opening hours and news are updated quickly in-house.
Our measurement of the home page shows: all requests go to the site’s own server, and before any consent the page sets just one own, technically necessary cookie.
Measured on 11 October 2026: home page of swingolf-hamburg.de, one run without cache, before any consent.
Since April 2016 we have looked after swingolf-hamburg.de in a maintenance contract. Today it covers updates of Joomla, YOOtheme Pro and RSForm Pro, display checks, two security checks a year, availability monitoring and monthly backups, also stored externally. Over the years the website has moved from Joomla 3 to Joomla 5 this way.
Swingolf Hamburg has a website that fits the season: opening hours and news come first, groups send booking requests online with date and occasion. And for ten years the technology has been running in the background – maintained, up to date and without third-party servers.
