Does my website stay online during the update?

Yes. We work on a copy first. Your existing website stays reachable. We agree on the actual live switch with you; a short interruption may be necessary depending on the project.

What does an update from Joomla 5 to Joomla 6 cost?

Simple updates are possible from €200 net if extensions and template are compatible. We charge by the actual effort and give you the estimate before we start.

What does a migration from Joomla 4 cost?

For manageable installations, about €400 net is a first guide. The technical state, the extensions and the security check that is mandatory for Joomla 4 can change the effort. A binding price only results from the inventory.

Why is Joomla 3 usually more expensive?

Many older extensions and templates no longer run on Joomla 6. We have to check whether intermediate updates make sense or whether a rebuild with the content taken over is more economical. The security check is mandatory here too.

Is the security check always necessary for old versions?

Yes, for Joomla versions that no longer receive security updates we always carry out a security check before the migration. The exact check and its effort are discussed before the order.

What happens if malicious code is found?

We inform you about the findings and estimate the necessary clean-up separately. A clean-up does not happen unasked and not just by installing a new Joomla version.

How long does Joomla 5 still receive security updates?

According to the official Joomla roadmap, Joomla 5 receives security updates until 12 October 2027. So an immediate upgrade is not automatically necessary; it makes sense to check your extensions and further planning in good time. See the Joomla roadmap (as of October 2026).

Do content and Google addresses stay?

That is our goal. Content, menus and structures are taken into account in the migration. Where URLs have to change, we set up the agreed redirects. Rankings cannot be guaranteed across the board.

Can the design be modernised at the same time?

Yes. If your current template is no longer suitable or you want to revise the website anyway, we can include a modernisation in the plan and calculate it separately.
