One-off Enterprise onboarding

one-off, from €800 plus VAT

The initial effort for an Enterprise contract is considerably higher than for regular maintenance. The onboarding includes:

  • An inventory of your website and the data it processes
  • Negotiating and concluding the individual DPA
  • Preparing the TOM documentation
  • An initial data protection impact assessment (DPIA)
  • Migration to the Enterprise infrastructure
  • Initial setup of firewall, 2FA and backup strategy
  • Setting up the emergency kill switch
  • Briefing our deputy colleagues on your website
  • Handing over the compliance documentation

Those bound by professional secrecy need more than a standard contract.

As a doctor, lawyer, tax advisor or therapist, you carry a double responsibility: the GDPR and the protection of professional secrets under criminal law (Sect. 203 StGB). If an IT service provider undermines this responsibility with infrastructure abroad, unclear access rights or incomplete documentation, you are personally liable – under professional, civil and criminal law.

Our standard maintenance contracts are designed for commercial clients and use efficient tools with infrastructure outside the EU. That is perfectly fine for most companies, but not permissible for those bound by professional secrecy. The Enterprise contract closes this gap.

Processing special categories of personal data (Art. 9 GDPR) such as health data, religious beliefs or client information puts your IT service provider in a position of special responsibility. We take this responsibility seriously – with documented processes, infrastructure exclusively in Germany and a deputy arrangement that protects your website and your data even if we are unavailable.

  • German infrastructure only
  • No transfer to third countries
  • Written DPA
  • Sect. 203 compliant
  • Deputy arrangement in place
  • Emergency kill switch
  • Fair pricing
  • Increased security

Why we do not promise rigid response times.

Unlike large IT service providers, we work as a specialised one-person agency with a clearly defined circle of colleagues. That is a deliberate choice: your website is not looked after by a changing ticket system team, but by specialists who have known Joomla for more than a decade.

Instead of a 4-hour response guarantee that offers no real security in an emergency anyway, we rely on fixed, plannable services: regular security checks at defined intervals, automated backups with verified restorability, monthly reports and personal availability during business hours.

If something happens, we are there – as quickly as possible. Should direct access ever not be possible, the named deputy colleague takes over. In an emergency, you also have the emergency kill switch in your hands and can take your website offline within minutes.

This is not an SLA promise. It is better than an SLA promise.

Because it is honest, because it works, and because you, bound by professional secrecy, work the same way: with care, expertise and personal responsibility – not with a stopwatch.

Services

Depending on the package, the Enterprise maintenance contracts include the following services.

German infrastructure
All tools and backups we use are hosted exclusively on infrastructure of German providers. No transfer to third countries.

Individual DPA
Data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR with a complete list of sub-processors.

Sect. 203 StGB
Written confidentiality declaration from us and our deputy colleagues.

TOM documentation
Technical and organisational measures under Art. 32 GDPR – ready for your compliance file.

DPIA support
Working out your data protection impact assessment under Art. 35 GDPR together.

Deputy arrangement
A named Joomla colleague stands in for us during holidays, illness or outages – with their own professional liability insurance and duty of confidentiality.

Emergency kill switch
Your emergency brake. You can take the website offline yourself within minutes – one call, one code, and the site is closed.

Verified backups
Every backup is restored and checked automatically. A backup that cannot be tested is not a backup.

Joomla security check
A thorough check for vulnerabilities, suspicious files and unusual access patterns. Signed PDF report.

Joomla updates
Updates of core and extensions after approval, tested on staging before going live.

Service time
A flexible monthly time budget for advice, questions and support as needed – for GDPR questions, coordination with your data protection officer or technical questions.

Incident response
A defined process for emergencies: kill switch, root cause analysis and support with the 72-hour notification under Art. 33 GDPR.

Personal contact
One fixed contact person, no ticket system. You know us, we know your website.

Compliance documentation
An annual maintenance certificate and complete documentation of all measures for your file.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions
How does Enterprise differ from Starter, Business and Premium?
The three packages have a fixed scope. With Enterprise, we agree the check rhythm, backup retention, access and coordination with your IT team together, to suit your data.
Which websites need an Enterprise contract?
Mainly websites with customer accounts, confidential forms, uploaded documents or connections to other systems. Whether Premium is enough or Enterprise makes sense is something we clarify in the free initial consultation.
Where are the backups stored?
Externally, i.e. not on the server that hosts your website. We agree with you exactly where and for how long they are kept, so that it fits your requirements.
Do you work with our IT department?
Yes, if you wish. We coordinate on server access, set times for updates and who is informed when there is a problem.
Can we start with Joomla 3 or 4?
Joomla 3 and 4 no longer receive security updates. For sensitive data, we therefore recommend moving to a current version first, ideally Joomla 6; maintenance starts after that.
Which professions is the Enterprise contract intended for?
Doctors, dentists, psychotherapists, alternative practitioners, lawyers, notaries, tax advisors, auditors, management and HR consultants with sensitive client data, accountants, insurance brokers, journalists who must protect their sources – in short: everyone subject to a legal duty of confidentiality or regularly processing special categories of personal data under Art. 9 GDPR.
Why is the Enterprise contract more expensive than Standard Premium?
Our standard maintenance contracts scale through automated tools with international infrastructure. For those bound by professional secrecy, that is not acceptable under data protection law. The Enterprise contract deliberately does without these economies of scale in favour of infrastructure exclusively in Germany, individual documentation, a deputy arrangement and personal support. The price reflects the real effort.
How does monthly billing work?
The contract has a minimum term of 12 months. It is billed monthly by SEPA direct debit or invoice. There are two reasons for the annual commitment: the initial onboarding effort is considerable, and the compliance documentation is prepared in annual cycles. After the minimum term, the contract can be cancelled monthly.
Why do you not state response times?
Because we are honest. As a specialised one-person agency, we cannot run a 24/7 hotline – and any promise we could not keep in every single case would be dubious. Instead, we offer fixed, plannable services: your security checks take place on agreed dates, backups run automatically, reports arrive regularly. In an emergency we are there as quickly as we can – and the deputy arrangement and the kill switch give you additional safety nets. Large IT service providers promise 4 hours. We promise that you know us, that your website is looked after by people with expertise and that we act in an emergency – with care instead of a stopwatch.
What is the difference between troubleshooting and service time?
Troubleshooting is meant for technical work: a broken link, a layout problem, a form that does not work. Service time is for everything else: questions about the GDPR compliance of your website, assessments of new plugins, a review of your privacy policy, coordination with your data protection officer or simply expert advice. Both are included in the monthly price – you decide what to use your time for.
What exactly is the emergency kill switch?
The kill switch is the technical means to take your website completely offline within a few minutes or redirect it to a secure maintenance page. Useful if a compromise is suspected, in acute data protection incidents, on orders from authorities or when you yourself have to act quickly for legal reasons. You can trigger the kill switch yourself – a call and a secure code are enough. Alternatively, we activate it on your instruction.
How does the deputy arrangement work?
We work with a named Joomla colleague who is bound by Sect. 203 StGB and has their own professional liability insurance. The colleague knows your website from a briefing held in advance and has access to all necessary information in an emergency. You receive the contact details at the start of the contract and are informed whenever the colleague stands in. The cooperation is mutual – in return, we stand in for the colleague as well.
Why must the access data always be up to date?
In an emergency – a security incident, an outage of your main contact or an order from the authorities – every minute counts. Outdated or missing access data can leave us or our deputy colleague unable to act. That is why providing and updating the access data is contractually agreed. We manage the access data in an encrypted password manager with documented access control.
Can I switch from the standard contract to Enterprise?
Yes, you can switch at any time. It includes a one-off onboarding phase in which we migrate your website to the Enterprise infrastructure. The onboarding costs from €800 plus VAT once, regardless of the package you choose.
